About Keepstone

Keepstone is an independent desk reviewing the premium managed WordPress hosting tier — and showing the tier-jump pricing most roundups leave out.

Keepstone reviews one slice of the hosting market and tries to do it honestly: premium managed WordPress hosting — the Kinsta, WP Engine and Rocket.net tier, where a business pays a real monthly fee for someone else to run the server and the WordPress stack. We do not cover cheap shared or general WordPress hosting; that is a different product for a different buyer.

Why this site exists

Most managed WordPress roundups quote the entry price and move on. But managed hosting is priced by traffic tier, and the number that decides your real cost is the price of the tier above the one you start on — the step you pay when your site grows. Keepstone was built to publish that step, plainly, alongside the visit caps, edge CDN, staging and support that actually differ between hosts. If a page here helps you avoid an overage bill or a plan you'll outgrow in a month, it has done its job.

How we review

We rank hosts on five factors: total cost across the tiers a growing site uses, published performance, included features, support depth, and pricing honesty. We do not run our own load tests or claim uptime we did not measure. Performance and pricing come from providers' own specifications and advertised prices, each carrying the date we read it, and are cross-checked against reputable third-party benchmarks such as Review Signal's WordPress Hosting Benchmarks, which we cite as their findings rather than ours. Prices change constantly, so we treat every figure as a dated band and tell you to check the current number before buying.

How we stay independent

Keepstone earns commissions when readers buy through some of our outbound links, and that never changes a score or a rank. Where the honest answer is that you don't need managed hosting at all, or that a self-run server on a provider that pays us nothing is the better fit, we say so — you'll find that recommendation on our main ranking. The full arrangement is set out in our affiliate disclosure. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any hosting company we cover; brand names and logos are used only to identify the products under review.
